Quarterback Jon Herbert threw for 210 yards & 3 Touchdowns and also ran for 2 scores during the Louisville Leopards 43-16 destruction of the Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders on September 3, 1999.
Herbert completed a 60 yard touchdown pass to Adam Reinford and a 71 yard touchdown pass to Vic McGoye in the first half alone. McGoye also caught a 20 yard touchdown reception in a fourth quarter that saw the Leopards rack up 20 points.
Jason Farkas led all rushers with 10 carries for 78 yards for a Louisville team that rushed for 173 yards on the ground. Oppositely, the Leopards defense held the Rough Riders to just 19 yards on 21 rushes. Andy Shook also snagged a 10 yard pick six late in the fourth quarter to finalize the score at 43-16.
Nathan DeGasperis also booted a 26 yard field goal to open the scoring and converted on 4 extra point kicks.
