Game Goes Down To The Wire As Louisville Varsity Leopards Loses To Hoover Varsity Vikings On Final Play

Louisville Varsity Leopards fell to Hoover Varsity Vikings 4-3 on Tuesday on the final play of the game. Hoover Varsity Vikings were down 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Roman Geiselman doubled, scoring two runs.
Louisville Varsity Leopards lost despite out-hitting Hoover Varsity Vikings seven to six. Luke Seaman led Louisville Varsity Leopards with two hits.
Hoover Varsity Vikings were the first to get on the board in the first when Matt Brown grounded out, scoring one run.
Louisville Varsity Leopards took the lead, 3-1, in the top of the second thanks to singles by Jake Beard, Max Roberts, and Seaman.
Jack Andes earned the win for Hoover Varsity Vikings. The hurler gave up one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Caden Kortis took the loss for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The starter went two innings, surrendering one run (zero earned) on zero hits, striking out two and walking one. Geiselman began the game for Hoover Varsity Vikings. The hurler allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking two.
Beard, Roberts, and Seaman each drove in one run for Louisville Varsity Leopards.
Geiselman provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Hoover Varsity Vikings with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Andes led Hoover Varsity Vikings with three hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Jack Ziarko led Hoover Varsity Vikings with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Andes stole two bases. Hoover Varsity Vikings were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. J.R. Cook made the most plays with seven.

It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Louisville Leopards JV 2025 grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-1, over Hoover Vikings Jv 25. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Nolan Pellegrino induced Anderson Kandel to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Both teams were strong on the mound. Louisville Leopards JV 2025 pitchers struck out nine, while Hoover Vikings Jv 25 sat down 10.
Hoover Vikings Jv 25 got on the board in the fifth inning after Landyn Fohner induced Maierhofer to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Xavier Berdella stole home, which helped Louisville Leopards JV 2025 tie the game at one in the bottom of the fifth.
