Louisville Varsity Leopards easily dispatched Green Varsity Bulldogs on Saturday at Green High School, 10-3.

Louisville Varsity Leopards got on the board in the top of the first inning after John Baker singled to the left side of the infield, and Grayson Brunoni tripled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Louisville Varsity Leopards added one run in the second. Baker singled to right field, making the score 3-0.

A single by Brock Leghart extended the Louisville Varsity Leopards lead to 4-2 in the top of the third inning.

Louisville Varsity Leopards added five more runs in the top of the fourth inning on six hits. Zander Triplett hit a solo home run to left field, Brunoni singled, scoring two runs, Jake Beard singled, scoring one run, and Max Roberts singled, scoring one run.

Caden Kortis started on the bump for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking seven. Anthony Cardarelli led things off on the bump for Green Varsity Bulldogs. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Trevor Burick appeared in relief for Louisville Varsity Leopards.

Louisville Varsity Leopards piled up 18 hits in the game. Baker and Brunoni were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards while hitting back-to-back. Brunoni provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Louisville Varsity Leopards with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 3-for-5 on the day. Beard, Kortis, Luke Seaman, and Triplett each collected multiple hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Triplett paced Louisville Varsity Leopards with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Louisville Varsity Leopards stole four bases in the game.

Kolton Evans and Carson Jurkowski were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Green Varsity Bulldogs. Green Varsity Bulldogs had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Nathan Elliott and Dominic Salamone led the team with two bases on balls each.

Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at Aurora Christian on Wednesday.
