Louisville Varsity Leopards Falls To Dover Varsity Tornadoes In Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Dover Varsity Tornadoes was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Louisville Varsity Leopards. Caleb Mayle started the game for Louisville Varsity Leopards and recorded 15 outs.
Louisville Varsity Leopards opened the scoring in the second after Max Roberts singled, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the third inning, Dover Varsity Tornadoes went back into the lead after Hunter Edwards singled to center field, and Liam Mast singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Brady Hart earned the win for Dover Varsity Tornadoes. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out three and walking three. Mayle took the loss for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out six and walking none.
Tate Aljancic, Roberts, Luke Seaman, and Cody Zahler each collected one hit for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Roberts led Louisville Varsity Leopards with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day.
Edwards and Mast were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Dover Varsity Tornadoes. Luke Leggett went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Dover Varsity Tornadoes in hits. Dover Varsity Tornadoes were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Nathan Leggett had the most chances in the field with four.

Louisville Leopards JV 2025 scored 10 runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Marlington 16-1 on Tuesday.
