The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team rallied from a two-goal second-half deficit to earn a 2-2 draw against the host CVCA Royals Monday evening at Royals Stadium. With the tie, Louisville moves to 8-5-2 on the season.

Truax and Radecky Give Royals Early 2-0 Lead

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdIn the first-ever meeting between the two programs, Louisville weathered an early storm before roaring back in the second half to secure a hard-fought tie.

CVCA struck twice in a four-minute span during the opening minutes to take control early. Jules Truax gave the Royals the lead with 35:10 on the clock, and Ainsley Radecky followed with another goal at the 31:41 mark to make it 2-0.


Seitz and Lab Spark Rally with Second-Half Goals

Corey Street for Mayor AdBut the Leopards refused to fold. Freshman Ava Seitz sparked the comeback with a goal just over seven minutes into the second half. Junior Reese Riley set up the score with an assist to cut the deficit to 2-1 with 32:38 remaining in the game.

Louisville continued to apply pressure throughout the second half and finally broke through again in the closing minutes. Senior Violet Lab netted the equalizer with just 3:46 left to play, finishing off an assist from junior Haile Folk to complete the comeback in front of the  Royals’ Senior Night crowd.


Stats and Series Notes

Gorgas Street Horror 2025 AdCVCA outshot Louisville 12-9 and held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks. However, the Leopards made the most of their second-half chances and held firm defensively, by shutting out the Royals over the final 71 minutes, to preserve the draw.

This contest marked the first all-time meeting between the Leopards and Royals, making CVCA the 76th unique opponent Louisville Girls Soccer has faced in program history.

UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next travel to take on the GlenOak Golden Eagles on Thursday, October 9 for the Kick-for-Cure game. JV will begin at 5:30 PM with varsity following at 7:00 PM from Bob Commings Field.
