Louisville Varsity Leopards Loses Despite Out Hitting Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders

Louisville Varsity Leopards fell 8-4 to Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders on Wednesday despite out-hitting them 11 to nine. Brock Leghart, Trevor Burick, and Cody Zahler each collected two hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards.
Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Luke Spittler doubled down the right field line, Nik Hilton singled down the left field line, and Brock Bourquin singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Dylan Minnie hit a sacrifice fly, and Spittler singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Austin Coy earned the win for Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders. The starter gave up 11 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking three. Caden Kortis pitched three innings in relief for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler gave up three hits and three runs while, striking out three and walking one. Grayson Brunoni took the loss for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler went two innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking one.
Louisville Varsity Leopards piled up 11 hits in the game. Luke Seaman, Max Roberts, Cooper Rice, and Zahler each drove in one run for Louisville Varsity Leopards.
Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders accumulated nine hits in the game. Bourquin went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Spittler went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders in hits. Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders turned three double plays in the game. Canton Central Catholic Varsity Crusaders were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jeremy Earley made the most plays with six.
Louisville Varsity Leopards play at home on Monday against Archbishop Hoban in their next game.

Owen Wilson collected four hits in four at bats, as Louisville Leopards JV 2025 defeated Canton Central Catholic Junior Varsity Crusaders 16-6 on Wednesday. Wilson tripled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the second inning.
Louisville Leopards JV 2025 got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Cohen Graybill singled to center field, Bryce Johnson singled to center field, and Jimi Crilow grounded out, each scoring one run.
Louisville Leopards JV 2025 added one run in the third. Caleb Mayle singled to center field, making the score 4-1.
