The Louisville Leopards defense held the host Carrollton Warriors to only 152 yards during a Week 9 20-6 victory at Community Field on October 20, 2006.
Quarterback Ben Schmucker ran for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Leopards offense, while Marcus Poyser also carried the ball 14 times for 45 yards on the ground. Louisville managed to complete just one pass all night long, but rushed the ball 46 times for 205 yards.
The Leopard defense held the Warriors to only 56 rushing yards on 26 carries. 52 of those yards came on Chad Kline’s second quarter touchdown run that proved to be his only carry of the night. Carrollton quarterback Matt Bryan was 8 of 26 passing for 96 yards and threw 2 interceptions. Louisville also recovered a Carrollton fumble in the contest.
With the victory, the Leopards improved to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the NBC and the Warriors fell to 2-7 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
