Near Déjà Vu from Last Year’s Game

The Lady Leopards have now defeated the Lady Griffins in their last three meetings dating back to 2018. Louisville defeated Akron Buchtel 58-51 in the Bulldog Battle at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse back in 2018. Monday’s contest was near déjà vu in terms of the final score as the Leopards defeated the Griffins 64-36 at home in early January last season, just one point shy of an identical final score.

Louisville now leads the all-time series 3-1 with this marking Louisville’s first trip to Akron Buchtel. The Griffins’ lone victory came in their first meeting, a 61-45 Buchtel win in the DII Sectional Tournament held at Lake Elementary School.
