Louisville fell behind 9-0 before rallying to cut the final deficit to 9-5 against visiting Jackson. With the loss, the Leopards are now 6-10 on the year.

Louisville was held hitless until the sixth inning when they erupted for five runs. Zach Shea started Beatty's Sports Spring 2014 Baseball Shirt 1the inning with a single to break up the Jackson no-no. Jake Adams followed with a walk. Then after an out, Riley Graybeal singled home Shea to cut the deficit to 9-1.

After another out, Jordan Hughes and Alex Hollifield drew back-to-back walks which brought in a run. Next, Garrett Yoder hit a 2-run single to right field to score Graybeal and Hughes. Finally, Joe Crank reached base via error which plated Hollifield to make it 9-5.

On the mound, Marco Buccasso pitched 3.1 strong innings in relief, gave up 0 runs on 2 hits, and struck out 2.

The Polar Bears were led by Jake Miller who went 3-for-3 with 3 doubles, 3 runs batted in, and 2 runs scored. Starter Sam Williams threw 3.1 innings of no-hit ball and struck out 4. Zach Meese also threw 4 strikeouts.

UP NEXT: Louisville will next play the Carrollton Warriors on Tuesday, May 6 at 5:00 PM. Varsity will be home, while JV will be on the road.

The Leopards and Polar Bears JV Squads split a Double Header with each other Saturday. Jackson took the first game 11-2 and Louisville won the second game 7-4. The Leopards JV Team is now 10-3 on the season.

In Game 1, Cameron White drove home Tyler Adams and Nick Harsh singled home Casey Nau for the only two Louisville runs. Jackson would pound out 11 runs on 11 hits to take the game.

In Game 2, the Leopards used a 4-run second inning to take the lead that they would never relinquished. Both Kyle Ashcraft and Issac Mathie had 2 hits each. Adams, Jason Agnone, Brody Hahn, and Reis Rankin each provided RBI’s as well.
