Riley Groves went 2-for-3 with a 3-run homer and 4 RBIs to lead the Leopards to a 9-3 victory over visiting Salem. With the win, Louisville is now an even 9-9 overall and 7-3 in the NBC.

Beatty's Sports Baseballl Shirt 2013On the mound, Pavin Parks improved to 5-0. The Sophomore pitcher pitched the entire contest, gave up just 2 earned runs on 3 hits, and struck out 8.

Kyle White pounded out 3 of the Leopards 11 hits on offense, drove in a pair of runs, and also scored a pair of runs himself. Parks also went 2-for-2 with an RBI triple and 2 runs scored.

The Leopards are now 4-0 against the Quakers since Salem joined the NBC a season ago.

Carrollton also won at Canton South 4-3 in nine innings Thursday, which leaves both Carrollton & Louisville a game out of first place behind the Wildcats for the NBC.

JV: Louisville 11, Salem 1, 6 Innings

The Leopards JV squad improved to 13-5 overall and a perfect 10-0 against NBC foes with an 11-1 six inning win at Salem Thursday.

Lukas Gilbert led the offense by going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs and a pair of runs batted in. Adam Nyland also had 2 of the Leopards 7 hits in the contest, while both Brock Haren and Corey Hileman each drove in a pair of runs. Connor Zwick also scored a team-leading 3 runs in the game.

On the mound, Hileman pitched all six innings, gave up just 1 run on 6 hits, and struck out 12. Hileman is now 2-2 on the season.
