Pavin Parks pitched a complete game, gave up just 1 earned run, and struck out 11 to lead Louisville past visiting Carrollton 6-2. With the victory the Leopards are now 10-Beatty's Sports Baseballl Shirt 201310 overall and alone in second at 8-3 in the NBC.

Joey Duckworth led the Louisville offense by going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI’s and a run. Riley Groves also went 2-for-3 in the game, hammered a triple, and scored 2 runs. Jordan Hughes, Zach Schaffner, and Garrett Yoder also drove in one run each. Half of the Leopards six total hits came in the opening inning that saw them score four runs.

The Warriors answered with two runs in the third inning, but Parks would limit the damage by getting back-to-back strikeouts to end the inning with the bases juiced. Carrollton also had runners on first and third with one out in the second inning when Parks struck out a pair of Warriors to end the threat. The Sophomore pitcher is now 6-0 on the season.

With the win, Louisville has now defeated Carrollton in nine straight times and has outscored them in those games 103-16. With the loss, Carrollton is now 14-7 overall and 7-4 in the NBC. The Leopards are now alone in second and just one game behind Canton South for the conference lead.

Jake Adams threw a 1-hit shutout and fanned 2 as Louisville mercied host Carrollton 13-0 in 5 innings Tuesday.

Connor Zwick led the offense by going 2-for-3 with a double, 2 RBI’s, and 3 runs scored. Adams also drove in 3 runs, Brock Haren had 2 RBI’s, and Lukas Gilbert pounded out 2 hits.

The shutout is Adams’ third of the season as he improved to 6-0 on the mound this year. The JV squad is now a perfect 11-0 in the NBC and 14-5 overall.

Paul Howard pitched the entire contest, gave up just 1 earned run on 3 hits, and struck out 4 to lead the Leopards. However, his effort would not be enough as host Carrollton won the contest 3-1.

Daichi Castles and Cameron White had the only hits for  Louisville. Their only run came in the fifth inning when Christian Hendricks’ sacrifice fly scored Castles.

The Freshman squad is now 7-12 on the season.
