Leopards Fight, but Fall Short in Season Finale at Alliance

Alliance 1, Louisville 0

The Leopards played impressive defense all night long at Rockhill Elementary School in Alliance Tuesday Night, but the Aviators still managed to sneak in a second half goal to defeat the Leopards 1-0.

The Aviators goal came with 27:36 left in the game.  The ball bounced into the penalty box where the Aviators rocketed the ball between two Louisville defenders and just past the outstretched hands of goalie Austin Hallas.  Hallas otherwise had a sensational game, as he along with the defense kept the Leopards in the game until the end.  The Leps could not manage to get the offense going, largely in part due to the Aviators ability to control the ball the majority of the evening.

Louisville finishes the regular season 2-12-2 overall and 1-5-1 in the NBC.  Barring a loss by Marlington, Alliance will finish second in the NBC with a 6-1 conference record and a 10-1-2 record overall.  Louisville is now 1-9-1 all-time against the Aviators who have beaten the Leopards in 8 straight matches.

UP NEXT: Louisville will host the Tuslaw Mustangs on Monday, October 17 at 7:00 PM.  The Leps defeated the Mustangs in a scrimmage earlier this year 10-1, but have never played them in a regular season or postseason match.
