Leopards Sweep Singles Matches to Edge Blue Streaks 3-2 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team edged the visiting Lake Blue Streaks 3-2 Thursday Evening at Louisville High School. With the win, Louisville ups their record to 6-1 on the season.
Rachel Kibler set the tone for the match by earning a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory in #1 singles. Jo Menegay also won #2 singles in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 and Sherilynn Mullett followed suit with a 6-4, 6-0 win in #3 singles to seal the Leopard victory.
Lake won both doubles matches two sets. The #1 doubles team of Sophie Ball and Emma Deluca won 6-3, 7-6 (8-6). The Blue Streaks #2 doubles team of Emma Moorhead and Maggie Kontour was also victorious 7-5, 6-4.
With the win, the Lady Leopards have now won their last 12 matchups with the Lady Streaks overall. Each of the past four matches in the series have ended in a 3-2 result in favor of Louisville as well. LHS now leads the all-time series 31-4 overall.
