Louisville ripped the game open scoring three goals in just a 2:03 sequence.  Rachel Baughman hit home back-to-back goals, and Mackenzie Storlie rung in a third to give the Lady Leps a 3-nil advantage with 71 plus minutes still to play in the game.

About five minutes later, Sarah Jaroszyk fought to keep the ball in bounds in the right corner before driving a pass to the center just outside the goal box.  Michelle Patterson flushed the assist into the top of the net, 4-0 Lady Leps.

Next, Jaroszyk lobbed a kick from the right corner to the left side of the net where Liz Stefanik popped the ball off her head and over the outstretched arms of the  Bulldogs goalie.  The ball bounced into the goal giving Louisville a 5-0 lead.

Deja Vu hit not four minutes later when Stefanik took a Jaroszyk pass and buried it home from just inside the penalty box, 6-0 Leps.

With 10:57 left in the first half Storlie scored her second goal of the contest.  After a back-and-forth affair with some McKinley defenders in the penalty box, she gained control and planted the ball into the left side of the net to make it 7-0.

With just 1:57 left until halftime, Baughman completed the Lady Leps scoring by completing a Hat Trick of her own.  She took the throw in from Tara Stevens, dribbled past defenders, and found nylon.  Louisville led 8-0 at the break.

For the first 20 minutes of the second half it appeared that Louisville wouldn’t score again.  But the drought broke like the rain that was pouring from the heavens seconds later.  Stefanik dug underneath the ball from the right side of the penalty box and shot it home into the left side of the net for her third goal of the contest.  Another Louisville Hat Trick!

Not to be outdone, Storlie also finished off her hat trick with a stunning goal.  In a triangular passing play Baughman found Jessica Hamsher on the left side of the field. Hamsher lobbed a kick into the goal box and Storlie headed it home.  Storlie had a hat trick and Louisville had reached double digits.

Next, the Lady Leps broke the school single game scoring record when Baughman broke free for her fourth goal of the contest.  The previous mark was set on October 1, 2008 when the Lady Leps defeated Carrollton 10-0.

However, the Leopards weren’t satisfied with setting records, they were bent on shattering them.  Halie Barton and Vanessa Katich each added goals off corner kicks to make the final tally 13-0 Louisville.

There was no shortage of offense for the Leps as they out-shot the Lady Pups 49-1 and also forced 17 corner kicks.  McKinley’s only real scoring threat was snuffed out by Leopards goalie Hannah Yeagley, who covered the ball up for the save.

Other than that one McKinley shot, the Leopards defense didn’t allow anything by them all night long turning it into a half field contest.  Louisville improves to 5-3 on the year as McKinley falls to 1-4.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leps will next host the Canton South Wildcats on Wednesday, September 21 at 5:00 PM.
