Lady Leps Knock Northwest 56-47, Stay Unbeaten at 13-0

Alyssa Jones poured in 21 points and grabbed 11 boards to lead the Louisville Lady Leopards (13-0, 8-0) over the Northwest Indians (4-9, 3-6) 56-47 Wednesday night.  Mackenzie Storlie also added 12 and Brianna Libertore dropped in 10

Louisville was jump-started by Jones in the first quarter.  She scored the first 12 Leopard points as they t ook a 16-11 lead into the second quarter.  Jones ended up with 14 points and 9 rebounds at halftime, and Louisville held an 11-point advantage at the break.

In the second half, Storlie poured in 10 points and the Lady Leps ripped open a 21-point advantage with 5:44 left in the fourth.  Louisville coach Garee McCully pulled the starters soon after that and the Lady Leps cruised to their 13th straight victory.
