Lady Leopards Rally Late to Clinch NBC Outright at Alliance

Louisville 11, Alliance 4
After trailing 4-3 heading into the sixth inning, Louisville scored eight runs over the final two frames to defeat host Alliance 11-4 Tuesday. With the victory, the Lady Leopards clinched their sixth straight Outright NBC Title as they improved to 17-6 overall and remain a perfect 13-0 in conference play.
Katie Cozy led Louisville by batting 3 for 4 with a go-ahead RBI Double in the sixth and a 2-run homer in the seventh. Cozy has now hit 5 of the team’s 24 home runs this season. Grace Jackson also went 3-for-5 at the plate with 3 doubles, 3 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored.
The Leopards pounded out 14 hits during the contest. Lexi Givens and Meghan Leasure each had 2 hits each. Givens also made it home 3 times for Louisville.
With the Victory, the Lady Leopards have now defeated the Lady Aviators 10 straight times and lead the all-time series 18-5. Louisville extends their winning streak to seven, which is their longest of the season.
