The Louisville Lady Leopards fell to the Canfield Cardinals 41-39 Monday Evening at Louisville High School. With the loss, Louisville falls to 3-5.

Rachel Tinkey scored 10 of her game-high 18 points in the final quarter to lead the Cardinals past the Beatty's NBC Shirts Back copyLeopards. Louisville led 37-36 before Tinkey hit two clutch buckets to put Canfield ahead 40-37. Erin Risner would later hit 1 of 2 free throws for the Cards to put them ahead 41-37 with 39.1 seconds left to play. Risner would also finish with 7 for Canfield.

The Lady Leopards were led by Hollyann Mullett who scored a team-high 10 points and Abby Beaver who added 8. Both Mullett and Beaver hit 2 three-pointers each. Emily Nees also scored 7 for Louisville.

With the loss, the Lady Leopards are now 1-4 against the Cardinals all-time which includes a 1-1 record at home.

The Lady Leopards JV Squad put together their best defensive performance of the season to earn their first home victory of the season. Louisville shutout Canfield for the entire first quarter on their way to a 33-22 victory.

 Alexa Oberster cashed in 2 three-pointers and scored a game-high 10 points to lead the Leopards. Danielle Walter also poured in 9 and both Emily Shea & Gabby Speher added 4 each.

The Cardinals were led by Megan Heagerty with 6, Heather Haley with 5, and Brittany Coonce with 4.

Louisville is now 2-6 on the season.
