The Louisville Lady Leopards avenged their only NBC non-win from a year ago with a 4-0 shutout of the West Branch Lady Warriors Wednesday evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. Devin Kring led Louisville by scoring two goals.

After a hard fought 25 minutes of action, the Leopards penetrated the Warriors net twice in a span of 18 Beatty's Sports Leopard Skin Grey Hoodieseconds. The first came after Sarah Jaroszyk booted the ball from midfield deep into West Branch territory. Rachel Baughman then stole the ball away from the Warrior defender and broke free for her 14th goal of the season. On the very next play, Kring stormed down the left sideline, kicked the ball off of a West Branch defender, and the ball squirted into the net to make it 2-0.

Kring added her second of goal of the contest with 30:24 left in the second half. She methodically dribbled into the center of the penalty box past a Warriors defender and kicked the ball into the top left corner of the net for her fifth goal of the season.

Halie Barton added a goal for good measure with 16:10 left in the contest. The goal was her third of the season and it came off a free kick by Baughman. The Leopards defense did the rest as they welcomed the return of starting goalie Becca Springman who recorded her second shutout of the season. Jessica Hamsher, Kelly Miller, and others also kept West Branch at bay on defense.

Before the contest, the Lady Leopards dedicated the game to Mark Miller who was diagnosed with AML, a type of Leukemia after the end of the 2012 soccer season. He recently had a bone marrow transplant and is on the road to recovery. The girls wore orange sweatbands and fans & parents also wore orange to show support. Be sure to keep the Miller family in your prayers.

With the victory the Louisville is now 8-0 overall and now stands alone in first place at 3-0 in NBC play. Salem also defeated Minerva 9-0 Wednesday to force a three-way tie for second place between Marlington, Minerva, and Salem.
