The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team was doubled up by the visiting Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders 4-2 Thursday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville drops to 3-6-1 on the season.

Burton Scores First, But Roosevelt Answers

Carter Burton scored the first goal of the game unassisted to give the Leopards the early advantage.

However, the Rough Riders answered with four first half goals to take a commanding 4-1 lead into the break.

Sanders Scores Lone Second-Half Goal

Brandon Sanders scored the only goal in the second half to trim the deficit to 4-2. Burton provided the assist on the score.

Kent Roosevelt improves to 5-3-2 with the victory.

Leopards Vs. Rough Riders Boys Soccer Series

The Leopards are now 0-3-2 against the Rough Riders all-time. Kent Roosevelt won the first two games in the series including a 2-0 shutout in 2014, the only other game played at Louisville in the series. The two teams tied in the next two meetings in 2015 and 2024.

UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team will next host the Tallmadge Blue Devils on Saturday, September 20. JV will host Tallmadge at the Louisville High School Soccer Field at 11:00 AM and Varsity will take on the Blue Devils at 1:00 PM at Louisville Leopards Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, the visiting Rough Riders scored two goals in the second half to lift them to a 2-0 shutout of the JV Leopards. With the loss, Louisville JV is now 0-7-2 on the season.
