Jackson Polar Bears at Louisville Leopards 2019 Boys Basketball Highlights

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell to the visiting Jackson Polar Bears 61-53 Saturday Night at Louisville High School. With the loss, Louisville falls to 1-3 on the year.
Collin Chambers hit a pair of three-pointers and scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Leopards. Scotty Gronow also dropped in 11 and Colton Jones hit 3 first half three-pointers to finish with 9.
Louisville bested Jackson in total field goals 23-20. However, the Polar Bears hit 8 three-pointers and made 13 of 18 free throw attempts to take the game. In comparison, the Leopards only made it to the line twice shooting a perfect 2-of-2.
Jackson (2-1) was led by Mike Skeriotis who matched Chambers’ stat line with a game-high 14 points and a pair of three-pointers. The Polar Bears finished with four players in double figures which also included Kevin James with 11, Jake Aleman with 10, and Trent Jones with 10.
The Polar Bears have now defeated the Leopards in 20 straight meetings. This was the first time Louisville hosted Jackson since January 8, 1988 a game the Polar Bears won 61-48. The Leopards have not defeated Jackson since a 64-33 home victory over the Polar Bears on December 21, 1979.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Tallmadge Blue Devils in a rematch of last year’s DII Canton Sectional Final on Saturday, December 14. JV is slated to begin at 5:30 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM.
