The Louisville Leopards 8th Grade Football Team pummeled the visiting Jackson “Purple” Polar Bears 37-6 Thursday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville remains unbeaten on the season moving to 4-0.

Early Explosion Sets the Tone
The Leopards wasted no time getting on the board in the first quarter. Karter Pawley opened the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful extra point by Ryker Youngen, giving Louisville an early 7-0 lead. Shortly after, quarterback Karter Elmerick connected with Jeremy Wooten on a 28-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 13-0.
Defensive Dominance in the Second Quarter
Louisville’s defense continued to apply pressure in the second quarter, forcing Jackson into a safety, increasing the lead to 15-0. Moments later, Pawley broke free for a 41-yard touchdown run, and the Leopards capitalized on the momentum with a successful 2-point conversion from Maddux Edgein to Maddux Long, pushing the lead to 23-0.
The offensive onslaught continued as Edgein added a 40-yard touchdown run, making it 29-0 before halftime.
Polar Bears’ Late Score Falls Short
After a scoreless third quarter, Louisville found the end zone once again in the fourth. Edgein tossed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Kaleb Brown, followed by a conversion run from Long to put the Leopards up 37-0.
Jackson’s lone score came late in the game, with their running back breaking loose for a 30-yard touchdown run. The failed 2-point attempt left the final score at 37-6 in favor of Louisville.
Balanced Offense and Stout Defense
