Girls Soccer With No Luck Vs. Shamrocks

Dublin Coffman 7, Louisville 0

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer team fell to the prestigious Dublin Coffman Shamrocks 7-0 in the Home Opener Monday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville is now 0-2 on the young season.

The Shamrocks grabbed the lead in the first half via a free kick goal by Sophia Bingaman and Abby Steiner on a breakaway score. The combination of Brianna Horton to Lizzy Mont produced two breakaway scoring opportunities for the Leopards, but each time Dublin Coffman Goalie Mikayla Buckley was there to make the stop.

Dublin Coffman widened their advantage in the second half by dropping in five more goals. Alya Whitman scored a Hat Trick over the final 36 minutes, which included 2 goals straight off her own corner kicks. Betsy Diamond also added the other two goals for the Shamrocks.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to North Canton to take on the Hoover Vikings on Wednesday, August 26 at 7:00 PM.
