Girls Soccer Carves Up Carrollton, Baughman Scores Hat Trick

Rachel Baughman scored a Hat Trick to lead the Louisville Leopards past the visiting Carrollton Warriors 7-0 Wednesday at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville is now 2-1-2 overall and 2-0 in the NBC.

The Lady Leopards pulled out to a 3-0 halftime advantage after goals by Baughman, Devin Kring, and Beatty's Sports Long Sleeved Leopard NationLizzy Mont. Sami Keefe scored the first goal of the second half on an assist from Baughman. Earlier in the contest the same combination in reverse produced the first Louisville goal.

Mont provided the assist on Baughman’s next goal to make it 5-0 with 26:48 left in the contest. 14 minutes later, Baughman dribbled from midfield into the penalty box before netting her third score of the game. The goal was also the 90th of her career.

In the closing minutes Freshman Deana Ross found the net for her first varsity goal. Her score came virture of a beautiful pass from Jessica Hamsher. Defensively nothing much got by Hamsher, Brianna Horton, and Sydnee Shankel during the contest. Their efforts, along with the efforts of Goalies Allie Bourne and Celia Keefe produced the Leopards first shutout of the year.

With the victory, the Lady Leopards are now 10-0-1 against the Lady Warriors all-time which includes a 5-0-1 record at Louisville.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Brunswick to take on the Blue Devils on Saturday, September 6. JV will begin at 1:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 3:00 PM.
