Girls Soccer Blanks Minerva, Baughman Records Hat Trick

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team blanked the host Minerva Lions 5-0 Wednesday Evening at Robert H. Hines Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 5-1 overall and stays unbeaten in conference play at 2-0.
Hannah Baughman recorded a Hat Trick to lead the Leopards. Megan Chatelain and Kayla Gibson added the other scores for Louisville.
Bri Horton provided assists on 2 of the Leopards 5 goals. In addition, Maddie Berkebile also recorded an assist on Baughman’s final score with 21:21 left in the second half.

Louisville dominated the contest in shots 29-17 and Corner Kicks 3-1. Leopards Sophomore Kenzie Brown started in goal and recorded 7 saves through 70 minutes of play. Freshman Megan Dorosky finished out the final 10 minutes to secure the shutout for Louisville.
The Leopards have now defeated the Lions in 4 of their past 5 meetings, which includes the last 3 games in the series played at Minerva. Louisville now leads the all-time series 9-1-4. The Lady Leopards have never lost on the road against the Lions in upping their record to 4-0-3 at Minerva all-time.
