The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Basketball Team fell to the visiting Carrollton Warriors 59-51 Saturday afternoon at LHS. With the loss, Louisville is now 4-6 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Beatty's Sports I love Footballdropped in 12 points and dished out 5 assists, Emily Hollifield poured in 12 points and grabbed a game-high 8 boards, and Grace Jackson also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Louisville grabbed an early 13-12 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Lady Warriors battled back to outscore the Lady Leopards 18-8 in the second quarter. Louisville cut the deficit to 43-39 heading into the fourth and trimmed the Carrollton lead to as close as 47-46 with 4:14 remaining.

Kelsey Voll’s three-pointer with 2:49 remaining proved to be a big dagger as the Lady Warriors took a 53-48 advantage at that point. Carrollton mercilessly shot 6 of 6 from the line in the closing minutes and shot 16 of 18 (89%) for the game. Ali Poole led the Warriors with a game-high 18 points and Mikayla Poole dropped in 11 points and had 3 steals. Savana Lowery and Voll also added 8 points each and Rachel Devine had 7 assists.

The Warriors have now downed the Leopards in 4 straight meetings. Louisville still leads the all-time series 34-20 which includes a 19-9 mark at LHS.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Green to take on the Bulldogs on Wednesday, January 7. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:30 PM.

The Lady Warriors scored the final 12 points of the game as they earned a 40-33 comeback victory over the host Lady Leopards. With the loss, Louisville is now 2-8 overall and 1-4 against NBC foes

Madison Fomich and Danielle Walter led the Lady Leopards by scoring 10 points each and Gabby Spehar also added 5.

Louisville led at the end of each of the first three quarters and held a 33-28 advantage with 1:58 left in the third. Carrollton clamped down after that as they pitched a 12-0 shutout the rest of the way which included the entire fourth quarter.

The Lady Warriors were led by Cassidy Laizure who scored a game-high 11 points and hit home 3 three-pointers. Jaci Pridemore also dropped in 10 and Kierra Gubesch added 6.
