Former Louisville Football Players Needed For Alumni Game
Alumni Football USA has organized the Louisville vs. Crestwood Alumni Football Game to be played July 7, 2012 at Louisville Leopard Stadium. The game is open to all alumni of the respective schools and the ages of the players will range anywhere from 19 to 49 or older. Former high school players will put the pads on again with old teammates to play once again.
Most former high school football players never thought they would play again. “You don’t just play pickup games of full-contact football when you graduate. For many guys, football is the biggest thing in their world in high school and then it abruptly ends at senior night forever. Players tell us practically every game how they’ve literally dreamed about the chance to play again” says Robert Bishop, Alumni Football USA’s Ohio State Director.
Alumni Football USA has been organizing alumni football games over the country for the past twenty-six years, but has been especially active in this region the past two years. In 2011, approximately 50 of the 250+ games organized nationally by Alumni Football USA were played in Ohio or Pennsylvania.
The game is being organized by the Leopard Touchdown Club with Cory Fausnight as the team captain. The Touchdown Club would love to have an alumni band to perform the national anthem and a halftime show as well as alumni cheerleaders. If you know any alumni band members or cheerleaders that would like to participate, please contact Eric Kwasnicka at (330) 875-5533.
Deadline for player registration for the Louisville-Crestwood Game is June 7.

Editor’s Note: Thus far Louisville has 27 sign-ups and Crestwood 8 officially according to http://www.alumnifootballusa.com. However, reports given to Leopard Nation say that Crestwood has a lot more sign-ups than have been confirmed online. The Red Devils alumni have been participating in alumni games for multiple years now.
