Gorgas Street Horror 2025 AdThe Louisville Leopards Volleyball program put on a strong showing Thursday evening at Louisville High School, celebrating Youth Night by honoring the Louisville Middle School teams and sweeping the visiting East Liverpool Potters at both levels. The varsity squad captured a three-set victory 25-16, 25-11, 25-11 to improve to 11-7 on the season. The Lady Leopards have now won 6 of their last 7 matches overall.


Varsity Controls From Start to Finish

Vote for Issue 37 - School Levy AdThe Leopards were sharp throughout, using a balanced attack and steady defense to dominate the Potters in straight sets. Mabel Kiko powered the front line with 15 kills and 3 blocks, while Carlee Rhome directed the offense with 24 assists and added 10 digs, 13 service points, and 4 kills for a well-rounded performance.

Karis Miglich and Taylor McCully anchored the defense with 17 digs apiece. McCully also chipped in 10 service points, 7 kills, and 2 blocks in the victory.


JV: Louisville 21-25-25, East Liverpool 25-14-12

The junior varsity squad also came away with a win, overcoming a slow start to defeat East Liverpool in three sets 21-25, 25-14, 25-12. After falling behind 18-9 in the opening set and rallying late, the Leopards regrouped and took control the rest of the way. In the decisive third set, Lilly Seaman sparked the team with 8 straight service points to open the frame, and Gianna Pederzolli followed with another stretch of 6 straight points to help seal the match.

With the win, JV has now won 7 of its last 8 matches and improves to 9-7 on the year.


Middle School Teams Sweep Hoover

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe night also spotlighted the Louisville Middle School volleyball program, which kept the momentum going with a pair of home wins against North Canton Hoover. The 7th grade Leopards rallied for a three-set victory 14-25, 25-23, 25-16 to improve to 17-3, while the 8th grade squad earned a sweep 25-17, 26-24 to move to 12-8 on the season.

Corey Street for Mayor AdThe recognition of the middle school teams during Youth Night added to the excitement and showcased the bright future of Leopard Volleyball.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards travel to Howland for a tri-match. Louisville will take on host Howland at 9:00 AM and the follow with a matchup against Geneva at approximately 10:00 AM.
