Lady Leopards Place 2nd at GlenOak District Meet, Punch Trip to Regionals – Girls Cross Country
Louisville – 54 (2nd Out of 10)
The Lady Leopards Cross Country Team began the postseason at the DI GlenOak District Meet Saturday at GlenOak High School. Louisville finished with 54 total places to place 2nd out of 10 competing teams which qualifies them for the DI Boardman Regional next week in Youngstown.
Morgan Cole again paced the Leopards by placing 2nd individually with a time of 18:37.2. Cassidy Kiko also claimed 3rd with a time of 19:03.9 for Louisville.
Others scoring for the Leopards included Nicole Israel (15th), Kayla Gibson (16th), and Emma Patterson (18th). All Louisville runners finished in the top 30 in a field that consisted of 71 total runners. Caitlyn Gatta also placed 27th and Sydney McKeever 28th for the Lady Leopards.
The Green Bulldogs place first with 47 total places, which was 7 ahead of Louisville’s score of 54. The Jackson Polar Beas finished with 66 total places to claim third. Jackson’s Sofia Istnick was the individual district champion with a time of 18:29.0.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the DI Youngstown Regional Meet on Saturday, October 27. The Boys DI race begins at 12:30 PM and the Girls DI race starts at 3:00 PM from Boardman High School.
