Cross Country Runs Away with GlenOak Invitational Crown
Boys: Louisville – 40 (1st Out of 26)
The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country team continued their domination with another first place finish at the Golden Eagle Invitational at GlenOak High School Saturday. Louisville finished with a final score of 40 placing them first out of 26 teams. They finished 67 places ahead of second place St. Thomas Aquinas and 88 places ahead of third place St. Ignatius.
Nick Chaplik (15:59.8) finished in second place individually just seconds behind individual winner Andre Bollam-Godbott (15:51.0) from Brunswick. Other top finishers for the Leopards included Noah Chaplik (16:22.2) in 5th, Zach Fresenko in 6th (16:26.5), Noah Murray (16:39.0) in 11th, and Ben Tornow (16:52.1) in 16th.
Louisville has now won the Golden Eagle Invitational in each of the past three seasons.

Girls: Louisville – 370 (13th Out of 23)
The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Cross Country Team placed 13th out of 23 teams at Saturday’s Golden Eagle Invitational.
Ashlee Beaver placed 54th individually with a team best time of 22:27.0. Rounding out theLouisville top 5 were Hailey Miller (64th), Brianna Horton (81st), Isabel Kiko (90th), and Allyssa Warren (92nd).

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the East Canton Invitational on Wednesday, September 2. The Girls Varsity Race will begin at 5:50 PM and the Boys Varsity Race will follow at 6:30 PM.
