Louisville Earns 1st Win Over Coventry Since 2004 – Boys Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team doubled up the visiting Coventry Comets 4-2 Saturday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 2-6 at the midway mark of the regular season.
Blake Varner scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards. The effort doubles Varner’s goal total for the season as he now has scored 4 times for Louisville this year. Riley Adams and Maddox Drake-McKimm also added scores for LHS. Adams netted his team-leading 6th goal of the year and Drake-McKimm recorded his 2nd of the season.
Mason Foley and Kael Mickley also had assists in the game for Louisville.
The victory is the Leopards first win over the Comets since 6-1 victory at Coventry on October 7, 2004. The all-time series is now tied 3-3-1 with LHS holding a 2-1-1 edge in matches played at Louisville.
