Lady Leopards Golfers Place 2nd, Metzger is Medalist

Katie Warga led the Lady Leopards with the top score in 3 out of the last 4 matches, while Adrienne Metzger had the top score in the other match. Louisville down Central Catholic & Minerva, while falling to Lake & Salem to move to 5-5, 3-2.
Louisville defeated Salem Tuesday 180-190, but fell to Carrollton 164-180 back on August 29. Ryan Shepherd had the best Louisville score for each match.
Lorenzo Maldanado’s 50 score beat South’s sixth man’s score by one stroke to give Louisville the match after the two squads played to a 176-176 tie. Hunter Williams led the Leopards by shooting a 41.
Katie Warga shot a 48 and Michaela Lee was right behind her in shooting a 49 to lead Louisville. Also scoring for the Leopards were Adrienne Metzger (52) and Summer Walters/Bailey Spring (58).
Louisville defeated Salem 174-182 on Tuesday and lost to Minerva 165-176 on Wednesday. Patrick Wilson had the top score for the Leopards each of the past two matches.
Michaela Lee led all Louisville scorers after shooting a 46 for the day and Katie Warga also shot a 48. The Lady Leps are now 2-2 on the season.
The boys golf team fell to 1-4, 1-3 on the season after falling at West Branch’s Fly B Golf Course 178-181. Ryan Shepherd claimed the top Louisville score with 42 and Adam Sullivan shot a 45.
Patrick Watson led the Leopards with a score of 84 as the team took 16th out of 24 teams with a score of 350 at the Gran Invitational in Hartville Friday.
Katie Warga shot a team-best 54, but it would not be enough as the Lady Leopards fell to the Lady Lions 216-233 at Edgewood Golf Course Thursday.
