Louisville 10, Carrollton 1
The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team upended the visiting Carrollton Warriors 10-1 Tuesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-6-1 overall and an even 2-2 in NBC play.
It took less a minute for the Leopards to get on the board when Derek Zeller scored off a throw-in from Bailey Adams. The pair would both record hat tricks in the first half as Louisville erupted for 8 goals before halftime. Zeller also finished with a game-high 2 assists.
Hunter Foley scored the other two opening half goals and had an assist as well. Kyle Mayle and Bradley Terra tallied the other Leopards assists before the break.
Louisville added to their lead in the second half when Freshman Blake Varner scored via a Marco Paulovich pass. Paulovich added a goal of his own 13 minutes later to give the Leopards a double digit advantage at 10-0 with 24:05 to play.
The Warriors only score came on a penalty kick. Keynan Lewton netted the goal for Carrollton.
With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Warriors in 6 straight meetings. Louisville leads the all-time series 13-2 overall with a 7-1 mark at home. The 10 goals are the Leopards largest output of the season and the most goals they have scored since winning 10-0 at Massillon last season.
