Leopards Shutout Warriors 10-0 to Start NBC Play – Baseball
Louisville 10, Carrollton 0, 6 Innings
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team shutout the visiting Carrollton Warriors 10-0 in 6 Innings Wednesday Evening at the Field of Dreams. With the victory, Louisville evens their mark on the young season at 1-1 with a 1-0 record in the NBC.
Starting Pitcher Jordan Shearer pitched 5.1 shutout innings, surrendered just a single hit, and struck out 10 to lead the Leopards. In relief, Eddie Budinski got the final two outs in the sixth inning for Louisville on just 9 pitches.
Bryce Zuppe led the Leopards on offense by batting 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a pair of RBIs. Cam King, Cam Lingle, and Caleb Prasco all had multi-hit games for Louisville as well.
The Leopards ripped the game open with a 5-run fourth inning. Lingle cracked an RBI single to center, Max Hartline hit a line drive 2-run single to center, and Prasco drove in another run to make it 8-0 Louisville.
The Leopards tacked on another run in the fifth inning when Dillon English singled in Austin Cummings. In the sixth, Louisville loaded the bases with two outs. Cummings stepped to the bat and hit a fly ball to right field, reached on an error, and plated Noah Gustaitis for the game-ending run.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders on Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 AM. JV will play at Central at the same time and Freshman will host the Canton McKinley Bulldogs at Noon. Freshman Baseball is also next scheduled to play at North Canton Hoover on Thursday, March 29 at 5:00 PM.
