Adams Record Setting Night

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThis is the third time in team history that a player scored 6 goals in a game. Adams tied the same record 364 days prior when he scored 6 goals during the Leopards 17-0 Sectional Semifinal win over the Tuslaw Mustangs on October 16, 2018. His brother Bailey Adams was the first Louisville player to score 6 goals in a single contest against the Massillon Tigers in an 8-1 victory back on September 9, 2017.

Adams scored five goals in the first half of that sectional matchup against Tuslaw in 2018, which remains the school record for most goals scored by an individual in one half. Aaron Wiseman is the only other Leopards player to score four goals in a single half. He accomplished the feat on the road against the same Canton South Wildcats on August 29, 2006 during an 8-0 Louisville victory. Wiseman was substituted out after his fourth score and did not play the entire half that day.

Leopards Vs. Wildcats Boys Soccer History

With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Wildcats in 16 straight meetings dating back to the 2004 season. Louisville now holds a 16-3-1 record over Canton South all-time, which includes a 9-1-1 record at home and 2-0 record in tournament games. The Leopards also hosted and defeated the Wildcats 6-1 in the 2005 Sectional Semifinals.

Louisville is now 13-19 all-time in the postseason, which includes an 11-7 record at home in tournament game. The Leopards have not won a tournament game away from home since 2002 as they are 2-12 on the road in the postseason all-time. They will look to break that spell Saturday against the Northwest Indians.

UP NEXT: The #7 Seed Leopards will next travel to face the #2 Seed Northwest Indians in the DII Canton Sectional Finals on Saturday, October 19 at 1:00 PM.
