Leopards Finish 10-0 and Unscored Upon in the NBC – Boys Tennis

Louisville 5, Canton South 0

The Louisville Leopards shutout the visiting Canton South Wildcats 5-0 on Senior Night to complete their perfect run through the NBC. Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdLouisville finishes an undefeated 10-0 in the conference for the fifth straight season. The Leopards also conclude their season unscored upon in league play in outscoring foes 50-0. 

Louisville breezed through the competition in 3 of their 5 matches to clinch the victory. Ryan Richards and Nick Eneix each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-1. The #1 doubles team of Asa Herron and Zach Eddins also took their match 6-1, 6-2.

In #1 singles, Ryan Pukys doubled up the opposition in the first set 6-3. The second set was more competitive but Pukys prevailed 7-5.

Leopard Head Long Sleeve Blue Shirt - Under Armor - Beatty's Sports Spring 2017The only match that went to a third set was #2 doubles.  The Leopards duo of Spencer Hall and Seth Gronow won the first set 6-2, but dropped the second set 6-7 (4-7). The tandem bounced back to dominate the final set 6-1 to clinch an undefeated and unscored upon conference season for Louisville.

The Leopards are now 17-2 on the year overall. The Wildcats drop to 7-9 overall and 3-6 in the NBC.
