Louisville Downs Central in Dual Match Opener – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards won their dual match home opener 183-187 against the visiting Canton Central Catholic Crusaders Tuesday at Pleasant View Golf Club.
Madison Gruber shot a team best 41 to lead the Lady Leopards. Rounding out the scoring for Louisville were Alexis Ralston 45, Erin Srouse 47, and Maddy Fowler 50. Other Varsity participants included Lauren L’Amoreaux who finished one stroke behind the top four with a 51 and Abby Davis who finished the afternoon tallying a 54.
The Leopards won the match despite Central’s Casilda Alludesalazar earning medalist honors with a 2 under par 34. Other Crusaders scoring in the match included Kaitlin Belden 46, Kristen Belden 50, and Taylor Adams 57.
Louisville has now won 6 straight against Canton Central Catholic dating back to the 2015 season which includes 3 straight at home. The Lady Leopards now lead the all-time series 8-3 which includes a 4-1 mark at home.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next compete at the Jackson Sec. Invite on Wednesday, August 14. Tournament is set to begin at 9:00 AM from Elms Country Club.
