The Louisville Leopards Varsity Wrestling Team crushed the visiting Canfield Cardinals 61-10 last Thursday on Senior Night at LHS. With the victory, Louisville improved their record to 9-2 prior to the OHSWCA Dual Team State Tournament.

The Leopards won by fall in 7 of their 14 matchups en rout to their convincing victory. Those winning by pin included Dan Adams (113), Garett Lautzenheiser (126), Dale Stauffer (138), Davin Rhoads 145), Brenden Severs (182), Noah Peterson (195), and Cameron Brazek (285).

Leopards Take 12 of 14 Matches

Louisville won 12 of the 14 matches overall. Pablo Castro (132) shutout his opponent in winning by 15-0 technical fall. Dylan Rhoads (106) and Dan Kennedy (160) also recorded major decisions for LHS. Josiah Leonard (152) and Justice Bolyard (170) both picked up victories by decision as well.

The Leopards took a 10-0 advantage out of the gate before Nicholas Barber (120) earned the Cardinals only win on the mat by 19-4 technical fall. Louisville would win the next nine matches in a row to mount a 55-4 lead.

Jimmy Scharrer (220) followed as the only other victorious Canfield wrestler taking his match by forfeit. Brazek earned those points back for Louisville with a pin in the heavyweight matchup to conclude the evening.

Prior to the match Louisville honored their six Leopard Wrestling Seniors. Those seniors included Dan Adams, Daniel Kennedy, Garett Lautzenheiser, Davin Rhoads, Dale Stauffer, and Austin Stauffer.
