Boys Tennis Wins 500th Match Against St. Thomas

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team earned their 500th All-Time Victory as they blanked cross-town foe St. Thomas Aquinas Wednesday 5-0 in a home match. The victory improved the Leopards to 5-1 on the season.
On a blustery, windy day both Louisville Doubles teams earned victories in straight sets. The two teams included Alex Hall & Hunter Williams and Chris Miller & Kyle Shepherd.
The Leopards also earned three hard fought victories in the Singles Matches. Jake Pukys won in straight sets to take the #1 Singles match 6-3, 6-3. Nick Knebl took his opponent to the tie-breaking point in each one of his two sets to earn a 7-5, 7-6 win.
Finally, Vick Knebl played the match of the day. He lost the tie-breaker in the first set, but rebounded with a 6-0 shutout in the second set. He then won the final set 6-3 to help the Leopards preserve the shutout of the Knights.
Louisville is now 500-187 all-time in Boys Tennis. They also lead the Battle for Louisville 21-12 all-time and have taken the last 4 matches against Aquinas.
