Boys Soccer Surges in 2nd Half to Defeat Alumni 7-3

The Louisville Leopards 2016 Boys Soccer Team opened up the preseason by defeating the Louisville 
Leopards Alumni Team 7-3 on a sweltering hot Saturday at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
Bailey Adams, Matt Perez, and Alex Stefanik all scored a pair of goals each for the Leopards. Mitch Perez also added a goal for the current Louisville Squad.
The Leopards scored the first two goals of the game, but the scrimmage remained tight at the half. The turning point of the contest came when the Leopards scored 3 goals in a span of 5 minutes during the second half.

The Alumni Leopards were led by Cody Gotshall, Logan Henkel, and Abdul Khalid who each scored 
goals. Altogether 17 past alumni played during the contest.
Louisville now leads the Alumni 2-1-1 in the four year history of the series which includes the following:
- 2013: Alumni defeated Louisville
- 2014: Louisville 4, Alumni 2
- 2015: Louisville 7, Alumni 7
- 2016: Louisville 7, Alumni 3
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel across town to take on the St. Thomas Aquinas Knights in a scrimmage on Friday, August 5 at 5:00 PM.
