Boys Soccer Goes Down Fighting at Central 3-2

Central Catholic 3, Louisville 2

Every reason to give up was present for the Leopards Thursday evening at Canton Central Catholic, but Louisville never quit.  With the injury bug in full force and through rainy conditions Louisville fought hard, but they were narrowly defeated by the Crusaders 3-2.

Jerry Julian scored a goal for the Leopards 18 minutes into the contest, but the Crusaders answered right back seconds later to tie the game at 1-1.  Central scored another goal before halftime to take a one goal lead into the break.

Less than two minutes into the second half Kyle Baker broke through for a Leopards goal to knot the game at 2-2.

The two teams battled with identical numbers on the scoreboard until Central blasted home what proved to be the winning goal with 8:31 remaining.

Louisville is now 0-6 on the season, but their two goals against Central doubled their total for the season.

UP NEXT: Louisville will host the Carrollton Warriors on Tuesday, September 13 at 5:00 PM.
