Boys Cross Country Wins OHSAA Early Invitational

Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country OHSAA Preseason Invitational 2016

Louisville – 65 (1st Out of 26)

The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country team got off to another strong start to their season Beatty's Sports Fall 2016 Louisville Leopards HatSaturday at National Trail Raceway. The Leopards placed 1st out of 26 Division I teams in the OHSAA Early Invitational.

Noah Chaplik paced Louisville by placing 5th individually with a time of 16:14.9. He finished only 32.8 seconds behind Individual Champion Arjun JHA (15:42.1) from Thomas Worthington. His Cardinals would finish five points behind the Leopards to place second as a team.

Louisville also had three other runners place in the top 10 individually and within 10 seconds of the Leopard Nation $5 Challengeteam-leading Chaplik. Finishing consecutively behind Chaplik were Zach Fresenko (6th) and Nick Chaplik (7th). Noah Murray also took 9th and rounding out the scoring for the Leopards was Logan Ison who placed 38th.

This is the third straight year that Louisville has competed at the OHSAA Early Invitational and they have placed first all three years.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the Golden Eagle Invitational at GlenOak High School on Saturday, August 27. The Boys will race at 9:30 AM and the Girls will race at 10:10 AM.
