The Leopards scored the first 7 points of the game, but the Dukes managed to get within 21-16 by the end of the first quarter. The Dukes drought ended when Drew Adams made a circus shot from the right corner. The shot grazed the top right corner of the backboard and fell in.
The Leopards answered back with a little magic of their own to end the half. Jake Pukys put an exclamation point on Louisville’s 21-9 second quarter by banking home a half-court shot at the buzzer. A traveling call left just 0.6 seconds remaining and Pukys made the most of the catch-and-shoot scenario. The Leopards carried all the momentum into the locker room.
Louisville started the second half as they did the first half with a 7-0 run. The Leopards would outscore the Dukes 24-7 in the third quarter to take a 66-32 lead into the final eight minutes. They rolled to a season sweep of Marlington after that.

With the victory, the Leopards have now taken the last five meetings against the Dukes overall. Louisville leads the all-time series 66-38, which includes a 35-16 record in the series played at LHS.
