Leopards Fall to Eagles Second Half Rally 11-7 – Boys Lacrosse
Avon 11, Louisville 7
The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team fell to the Avon Eagles 11-7 on a cold and rainy Tuesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville drops to 1-2 on the year.
Zach Burkhardt recorded a game-high 4 goals and an assist to lead Louisville. Jordan Mack also scored a pair of goals, Matt Swigert added a score, and Bradley Terra finished with 1 assist to round out the Leopards offensive highlights. Jared Davis added 14 saves in goal to lead the defense.
The Eagles (3-1) were led by Myles who matched Burkhardt with 4 goals and an assist. Walsh also registered a hat trick and Murray scored a pair of goals. Smith and Matt Myles also found the back of the net for Avon and Zeh provided 2 assists. In goal, Schaeler recorded 5 saves for the Eagles.
With the loss, Louisville is now 1-2 against Avon on all-time which includes a 1-1 mark in games played at Louisville Leopards Stadium. The Leopards doubled up the Eagles 18-9 for their only victory in the series back in 2016, while Avon won 14-6 a season ago.
