Host Alliance outscored Louisville 16-6 in the final stanza to earn a 43-39 victory at Harry Fails Gymnasium Friday Night.  Blake Hoover led Louisville with 12 points, while Alex Hollifield and AJ Minster each scored 8.

The Leopards were sitting pretty with a 33-27 lead heading into the final quarter.  However, Alliance began the period on an 8-1 run and got timely shots from Parrish Martin and JJ Kukura.  Beatty's Winter HoodiesMartin, who had been shutout during the first three quarters, buried two three-pointers to give Alliance leads of 35-34 and 40-37.  Kukura delivered 9 of his game-high 22 points in the final quarter including a back-breaking layup with under 20 seconds remaining to give Alliance a 42-39 lead and a free throw with 0.8 seconds left that officially sealed the Leopards fate.

In the first half, both teams had their struggles offensively as the game remained tied at 17-17 at the break.  The Leopards stormed ahead when they closed the third quarter on an 8-2 run courtesy of buckets by Minster and Ronnie Carter and Hollifield’s 4-for-4 performance from the line.

But Louisville could only delay the Aviators flight any longer after that as Alliance defeated them for the third consecutive time.  The Aviators have now won 8 out of the last 9 games of the series played at Alliance.
