The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team defeated the visiting Akron Springfield Spartans 175-184 on the Front 9 (Par 36) course at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. With the victory, Louisville improves their record to 5-1 on the year.
Miller Tallies 43 to Lead Louisville
Junior Cole Miller shot a team low 7 over par 43 to lead the Leopards.
Rounding out the scoring for Louisville were senior Sam Karcher, junior Jack Mayle, and junior Zach Root who each shot 8 over par 44.
Eckenrode Shoots Match Low 40 for Springfield
Akron Springfield (9-5) was led by match medalist junior Connor Eckenrode who shot 4 over par 40. Other scorers for the Spartans included junior Brady Hahn who finished with 46, junior Jacob Thomas who also carded 46, and J. Bradley who finished with 52.
Louisville has now won seven straight matches over Akron Springfield dating back to 2002 when they split the season series as members of the Northeastern Buckeye Conference.
