The Louisville Leopards struck for four runs in the opening inning and rode that early surge to a 7-3 victory over the host Dover Tornadoes Friday evening at Dover City Park. With their third straight win, Louisville improves to 11-7 on the season.

Grayson Brunoni collected four hits in four at bats, as Louisville Varsity Leopards defeated Dover Varsity Tornadoes 7-3 on Friday at Dover City Park. Brunoni hit a solo home run to right field in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the second inning.
Louisville Varsity Leopards got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brunoni singled to the right side of the infield, Cody Zahler singled down the left field line, Brock Leghart singled to center field, and Max Roberts grounded out, each scoring one run.
A single by Bryce Johnson extended the Louisville Varsity Leopards lead to 5-0 in the top of the third inning.
Louisville Varsity Leopards scored one run in the top of the fourth on a solo home run to right field by Brunoni.
Caleb Mayle stepped on the hill first for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler gave up four hits and one run over six innings, striking out six and walking two. Reed Tharp began the game for Dover Varsity Tornadoes. The starter gave up 12 hits and seven runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking two. Brunoni tossed one inning of no-run ball for Louisville Varsity Leopards in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking two.
Louisville Varsity Leopards tallied 12 hits in the game. Zahler and Roberts each collected multiple hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Zander Triplett stole two bases. Louisville Varsity Leopards turned three double plays in the game.
Brayden Bergeron, Luke Leggett, Liam Mast, Cam Nauer, and Gavin VanHorn each collected one hit for Dover Varsity Tornadoes. Leggett, Mast, and Brody Hale each drove in one run for Dover Varsity Tornadoes. Dover Varsity Tornadoes turned two double plays in the game.
Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at Canfield on Monday.
