The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team scored five runs in the opening frame and never looked back, defeating the host Massillon Tigers 9-2 Tuesday evening at Carl “Ducky” Schroeder Field. With the victory, Louisville has now won 5 of its last 7 to improve to 10-7 on the season.

Louisville Varsity Leopards defeated Massillon Tigers Varsity 2026 9-2 on Tuesday at Carl “Ducky” Schroeder Field thanks in part to five runs in the first inning. Jake Beard drew a walk, scoring one run, Cody Zahler singled, scoring two runs, and Luke Seaman singled, scoring two runs.
Louisville Varsity Leopards added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Grayson Brunoni singled to center field, Brock Leghart singled down the left field line, and Max Roberts hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Trevor Burick stepped on the mound first for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four. Isaac Maxheimer stepped on the bump first for Massillon Tigers Varsity 2026. The hurler gave up three hits and five runs over one inning, striking out two and walking four. Jimi Crilow tossed one and one-third innings of no-run ball for Louisville Varsity Leopards in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking one.
Zahler, Roberts, and Seaman each drove in two runs for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Caden Kortis led Louisville Varsity Leopards with two hits in four at bats. Louisville Varsity Leopards had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Beard and Brunoni led the team with two walks each. Louisville Varsity Leopards were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Beard had the most chances in the field with four.
Aiden Wilhelm, Will Hymes, and Blake Hobson each collected one hit for Massillon Tigers Varsity 2026. Brady Coleman and Drew Longwell each drove in one run for Massillon Tigers Varsity 2026. Massillon Tigers Varsity 2026 were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Wilhelm made the most plays with four.
