The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team fell to the host #9-ranked Painesville Riverside Beavers 8-1 Saturday afternoon at Riverside High School. With the loss, Louisville is now 4-5 on the season.

Louisville Varsity Leopards couldn’t keep up with Riverside Varsity Beavers and fell 8-1 on Saturday.
Riverside Varsity Beavers were the first to get on the board in the first when Maddy Kevern singled, scoring one run.
Katelynn Miller stepped in the circle first for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler allowed seven hits and four runs (three earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking two. Clara Granchi stepped in the circle first for Riverside Varsity Beavers. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out six and walking three.
Destiny Hanze led Louisville Varsity Leopards with one run batted in. The catcher went 1-for-1 on the day. Maggie Baker, Shae O’Neill, Hanze, Anna Sirohman, and Leah Claugus each collected one hit for Louisville Varsity Leopards.
Kevern drove the middle of the lineup, leading Riverside Varsity Beavers with four runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Kevern and Becca Tornow each collected two hits for Riverside Varsity Beavers. Tornow led Riverside Varsity Beavers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing five walks for the game.
Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at Champion Varsity Golden Flashes on Saturday.
