The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the host North Canton Hoover Vikings 2-0 Wednesday Night. With their second straight victory, Louisville improves to 2-3 on the season.

Genet an Schillig Score Leopard Second Half Goals

Neither team scored in the opening half, but the Lady Leopards broke the stalemate with two goals in the second half.

Claire Genet got Louisville on the board first in the 48th minute. Later, Alyssa Schillig added an insurance goal with 6:39 remaining to solidify a convincing 2-0 win. Reese Riley provided the assists on both goals.

Edgein Earns Shutout for Louisville

Goalkeeper Tristyn Edgein recorded 4 saves and earned the shutout in goal for the Lady Leopards.

This is the second straight year that the Lady Leopards have shutout the Vikings, the two teams played to a scoreless tie a year ago.

Leopards Vs. Vikings Girls Soccer Series

This is only the fourth time Louisville has defeated Hoover in team history, with three of those wins coming at North Canton. The Lady Leopards last won at Hoover 1-0 in 2013.

Louisville still trails the all-time series again the Vikings 4-13-3, which includes a 3-8-1 record on the road in the series.
