The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team wrapped up preseason play with a 3-1 scrimmage victory over the visiting Boardman Spartans Wednesday evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the win, Louisville finishes the preseason with a 3-1 record.

Lint Strikes in Opening Minute

The Leopards wasted no time getting on the board in their final tune-up before the regular season. Just 52 seconds into the match, Violet Lab delivered a pinpoint pass to Kasey Lint, who buried the shot in the back of the net to give Louisville an early 1-0 lead.

Riley Leads Louisville with Two Goals

Reese Riley added a pair of goals to help build a commanding 3-0 advantage. She scored her first of the night less than three minutes after Lint’s opener, doubling the Leopard lead at 2-0.

Riley struck again early in the second half, this time off an assist from Alyssa Schillig, to push the Leopard margin to 3-0 with 35:17 left to play.

Boardman managed to get on the scoreboard with a goal at the 28:41 mark, but the Louisville defense held strong the rest of the way to secure the 3-1 victory.

UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next open up the regular season by hosting the Canfield Cardinals on Wednesday, August 20. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
